Episode 9 - If Hallmark Christmas Movies Were A Reality Show

Today’s Topic: Many of you enjoy this time of year when we get the TV schedule for the infamous Hallmark Christmas movies. I love a happy ending just as much as the next person, but have you ever thought about all the messy stuff that gets to those happy endings.
Maybe you are in the midst of a messy season of your life and dream of the day that a Hallmark Christmas movie was playing out before you. Don’t lose heart! Romans 8:28 says, “And WE KNOW that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Let me remind you, friend, Jesus is our happy Hallmark ending. This verse does not affirm that all things are good or that all things work together for the good of all people.
Rather the great promise is that God will overrule and work even though the tragedies caused by sin’s brokenness and presence in the world. My challenge to you is to share your story this weekend. I would love to hear how that went.
